More than £700 was recently raised at a pub in Bushey Heath to go towards ending poverty.
Around 60 people attended the quiz night and raffle at The Three Crowns raising money for Emerge poverty free, who work in some of the poorest countries to try and reduce poverty.
The event was organised by Ryan Kershaw who will also be running in the London marathon to raise funds for the charity.
He said: "This means a lot to me personally. My family are originally from Africa and the charity has helped many from the area my Mum and Dad grew up in."
