During Easter the churches of Radlett will be holding several events to celebrate Holy Week.

On Good Friday, the churches will come together for a United Act of Witness. People that wish to attend should meet at the War Memorial in Watling Street at 11am.

At 12pm there will be the traditional Three Hours Devotion in Christ Church in Radlett.

On Easter Day, there will be the usual Communion Services at 8am, 9.15am and 11am at Christ Church, and at 9.45am at St John’s in Gills Hill Lane.

The Bible records Christ washing the feet of his friends and this will be re-enacted on Maundy Thursday at 8pm at St John’s.

Rev’d Javaid Iqbal, team rector, said "Holy Week is a very special time in the Christian Calendar; churches welcome those who do not always manage to get to church on Sunday mornings.

"There is not the distraction of shopping on Easter morning, so we look forward to welcoming all to one of our services."
