Three Rivers Community Safety Partnership has launched a horse patrol project this week.
Valley Farm Stables, in Sarratt, is the first to implement the project, which involves volunteer horse-riders acting as eyes and ears in the district, looking out for anti-social behaviour and incidents while out riding.
Fly-tipping, graffiti, abandoned vehicles are some incidents that have been reported through the project, which has been successful in other parts of Hertfordshire.
The scheme is managed by Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue and riders should report via email to Three Rivers District Council enquiries@threerivers.gov.uk
