Two Watford entrepreneurs feature in the 2014 Asian Rich List.

Ramesh Sachdev, managing director of Life Style Care Plc and Dilesh Mehta, managing director of Shaneel Enterprises Ltd, are worth a combined £425 million, according to figures published by Asian Media and Marketing Group.

Ramesh and wife Pratibha, set up Life Style Care Plc in 1987. It provides specialist long term care to people with conditions such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, is worth an estimated £350 million.

Ramesh, 68, said: "I have always had a vision of what I wanted to achieve in terms of the business and entrepreneurialism. I have always had a vision of what I wanted to do."

The father of three praised his management staff and the support he has received from his family.
He said: "The success is also because of a lot of people from the area of business. A dedicated management team has helped me achieve my goals. The support from my wife and family has been very important."  

The Asian Rich List highlights how Asian entrepreneurs contribute to the UK economy and the "social and political landscape."

Watford based Shaneel Enterprises, which was created by the Mehta family in 1986, specialises in the supply and distribution of fragrances.

Mehta, who is also the owner and managing director of Designer Parfums Ltd, chairman of House of Worth, and chief executive of Jean Patou is valued at £73 million.

This year's Asian Rich List, shows the combined overall net worth of the featured 101 millionaires has reached £51.5 billion, with the top 10 representing 71 per cent of the total figure.
