A man was taken to hospital at the weekend after a house fire in Bushey.

Two crews from Watford and a crew from Garston were called at 9.38pm on Friday after reports of smoke at a semi-detached house in Aldenham Road.

The crews rescued one man from the home and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The man was then taken to hospital. The fire is being treated as accidental.

You think the WO is late with the news? I was reading the paper in the dentist's waiting room today - apparently Mafeking has been relieved!
