An elderly man was rescued from a car following a crash in Loudwater.

Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to Cherry Hill at about 9.40am yesterday after reports that a grey Ford Focus and a grey Nissan Micra had crashed.

The grey Nissan Micra was lying on the driver’s side and firefighters from Rickmansworth used a triple extension ladder to help the elderly man out of the passenger side of the car.

The driver was treated by paramedics on the scene and his injuries are not believed to be serious.
