A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital after a collision with a people-carrier car in Watford today.

The crash in St Albans Road, at the junction with Langley Road, shortly before 9am has caused disruptions during morning rush hour.

A blue Vauxhall Zafira collided with a woman and smashed into railings at the side of the busy road.

Police and paramedics raced to the scene and the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was transported by road ambulance to hospital.

The driver of the people carrier was unharmed. Police have warned traffic disruptions will continue while the vehicle is recovered.
