The former head girl of a school in Bushey has been selected to be one of the 2014 UK Junior Chamber International Ten Outstanding Young People.

Lucie Treacher, from Purcell School, was recognised as an outstanding singer songwriter who has travelled the world for inspiration and to mentor others through outreach projects.

Candidates for this award can be anyone aged between 18 and 40.

Miss Treacher was at The Purcell School from 2009-2013, where she studied composition with Haris Kittos, piano with Clare Sutherland and voice with Tom Marandola. 

The 19-year-old was part of the School’s Impulse Outreach Training Project.
