More than £30,000 was raised as part of the Mayor of Hertsmere’s charity bike ride from Paris to London.

Thirty cyclists rode 189 miles in three days raising about £30,000 for the Ben Kinsella Trust, which combats knife crime, and The Langdon Foundation that helps people with learning difficulties lead independent lives.

The Mayor Paul Morris OBE was joined by former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella MBE who founded the Ben Kinsella Trust to raise awareness of knife crime after her brother was stabbed to death in 2008, and two Langdon residents Lemar and actress Louisa Lytton.

Councillor Paul Morris OBE said: "This was a truly inspirational ride with participants achieving more than they could ever than imagined. There were tears along the way but also lots of laughter."
