Residents are being invited to Kings Langley Fire Station for open day later this month.
The open day, which is being held on Wednesday, May 28, will be held at the Common Lane fire station and aims to improve people’s awareness of fire safety.
Both the conventional fire engine and the aerial ladder platform will be in attendance and residents will have the opportunity to look round the station and see the equipment used by Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue.
Children will have the opportunity to dress-up in miniature fire gear and compete in competitions such as "name the fire engine" while the adults will be able to guess the weight of the fire engine.
A mock-up of a little house will be created and children will have the chance to put out the flames.
