Developers who were granted permission to build 53 flats and houses on a former Bushey nursing home site have applied to alter the application.
Bushey-based developer Heronslea bought the Windmill Nursing Home site, in Everett Close, after it was sold by the NHS two years ago.
The company then submitted an application to Hertsmere Borough Council to demolish the existing building to construct 31 flats and 22 houses, as well as associated car parking and landscaping, which was granted in October.
The developers this week submitted an application to amend the approved plans to reduce the number of units from 53 to 51.
Nearby residents strongly opposed the proposals at the time they were granted, saying they are worried about the volume of housing and traffic the development will bring.
