A primary school in Kings Langley is on their marks for this year’s Kings Langley Puffaten.

Kings Langley Primary School in Common Lane, will be hosting the start of this year’s Kings Langley Puffaten on Sunday, June 1.

The road race, which has been organised by Comets RRC and co-ordinated by Alan Johnson, governor at Kings Langley Primary School, will see runners tour the streets of Kings Langley and all the profit raised during the race will go towards the Common Lane school.

Residents will have to pay £5 to enter either the 1.5k or the 3k race and £12.50 to take part in the 10k event. Runners must be at least 16-years-old to take part in the 10k race and entrants must be at least nine years old to compete in the 3k event.

Paula Harris, headteacher at Kings Langley Primary School, said: "We are really excited about this event and if successful, plan to run it again next year.

"There is a real buzz around the school with lots of children so very excited, they have been practising hard and are really looking forward to running with members of their family.  We have even organised a staff team.  Go Kings Langley."
