Big Brownie Birthday celebrations took place at Westfield school.

More than 400 brownies and their leaders from the South West Herts Division took part in the Star Quest event as part of the Big Brownie Birthday (BBB).

Packs were mixed up to make new friends and each group was assigned a planet guide, which took the groups round different bases throughout the day.

Activities were focused on three areas - past, present and future - and brownies had to complete nine in total.

At the end of the activity they each gained a star to add to their BBB star logs.

Activities included brownie skills from the past, a visit to a mobile planetarium, created their own Hong Kong Super brownie, decorated headbands and took part in old fashioned games.

Everyone came together at the end to sing and dance to "Reach for the Stars" and then every person set off a party popper as a grand finale.

Organisers thanked everyone that made it happen and for giving the girls a fantastic memory of a special guiding event.
