Three girls from a school in Bushey have received their Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.

Ella Bamford, Winnie Wong and Sharon Li, who are pupils at St Margaret’s, visited St James's Palace for the awards ceremony.

The girls had the opportunity to speak to HRH Prince Edward and the awards were made by well known polar explorer and adventurer Jock Wishart.

Rebecca Gupta at the school said: "Congratulations to all of our gold award recipients, they can be justly proud of their outstanding achievement."
