A children’s author from Bushey returned to where it all began when she revisited her former school to "inspire" pupils.
Sharing her books with the girls at St Margaret’s preparatory school, including her most recent one 'How do you know you’re a Zebra?', Bonnie Friend inspired them to create their own story idea and accompany this with illustrations, allowing it to evolve through imaginative pictures rather than words.
Headteacher of the preparatory School, Claire Aisthorpe, said the visit was a "huge success".
She added: "Bonnie was absolutely delightful, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company, learning a lot through her calm, informative, and inspirational teaching".
Year six pupils will now be creating and sending their own books to Bonnie titled: 'Why You should Never Trust a Seagull’.
