A social group for retired and semi-retired men in Kings Langley visited the Houses of Parliament last week.

Mike Penning MP welcomed Kings Langley Probus Club to Westminster on Thursday before giving members a guided tour of Parliament.

Probus Club members and their guests were shown round Westminster Hall, the Chapel of the Undercroft, the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

Club Secretary John Addy said: "We really appreciated that Mike gave up so much of his time to conduct the tour. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the house greatly enhanced the whole experience."

The MP said: "I am delighted that the Probus Club were able to come on the tour. It is a great honour and privilege for me to be here and I welcome the opportunity to show this wonderful palace to local people. I really enjoy these tours and we have a great chat whilst enjoying these magnificent surroundings."
