Snooker professional Martin Gould was the star attraction at Watford Mencap’s pool tournament at Rileys Sports Bar, Watford.

The group had a singles championship on the night and Paul Whenman, who also plays in the main Rileys league each week, beat Richard Kirk in the finals.  Martin Gould played the winner before signing autographs.

Martin, who is currently 30th in the world rankings said: "I was honoured to be invited to visit the Watford Mencap Pool Club.

"It’s a fantastic group - I enjoyed the two hours I spent with them playing pool, signing autographs and having photos taken with fans. I can’t wait to see them all again."

Lata Rees, who organises the pool group for Watford Mencap, said: "We are so grateful to Martin for joining us.  He was so friendly and really gave our guys some good tips to help improve their game."
