The parents of a West Herts College student who died after a car crash in Amersham said that "his smile penetrated the heart of everyone who knew him."

Patrik Biel, 21, who was studying Automotive Mechanics at West Herts College, Kings Langley, died after hitting a tree on Rectory Hill, Amersham on Friday, May 23.

Patrik’s parents, Jacek and Zuzi said that everyone who met their son "mentioned his golden heart" and highlighted the outpouring of support they have received.

They said: "We have had hundreds of people through the door every day since he passed away and an infinite amount of phone calls and texts.

"The one thing that is common, is that the one common denominator to everybody who has visited this house, is everybody has mentioned his golden heart and penetrating smile, everybody has their own stories and special memories of him."
