JWG, of Pitstone, Bucks, was summoned for driving a horse and van without having proper control, at Watford, on June 3.
PC Smith deposed that on the day in question, at about 3.30am, he was in Hempstead Road, Watford, when he saw a horse and van being driven towards Watford. The defendant was fast asleep.
The chairman said it was a very serious offence as considerable damage might have been done. A fine of 40s would be imposed.
