Watford & Three Rivers Trust is  holding a Volunteers Fair at West Herts College’s Watford campus on Wednesday.

More than 20 charities, community and voluntary groups will be joining W3RT at the fair to showcase groups in Watford andThree Rivers currently recruiting for volunteers.

The event is part of Volunteers Week, a national campaign which is celebrating its 30th anniversary and takes from Sunday, to recognise and thank the millions of volunteers across the UK.

Debbie Bezalel, Director of W3RT’s Community & Voluntary Services (CVS), said: "Volunteers are the life blood of all charities, community and voluntary groups, without them, they would not be able to survive.

"In Watford and Three Rivers alone there are over 750 charities, community and voluntary groups.  It’s important that we, not only celebrate volunteers and the amazing help and support they give to them, but continue to promote all of the fantastic volunteering opportunities there are."

Wednesday’s event will run from 10am until 5pm and is free to attend.

The public can also register their interest in volunteering and search current volunteering opportunities in Watford and Three Rivers at www.w3rt.org
