A grief-stricken family have been left “shocked and utterly devastated” by the death of a man allegedly assaulted at a Watford golf club.

Terry Hutchinson, 64, was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in London following an incident at West Herts Golf Club in Cassiobury Park on Saturday, May 24.

He died two days later with his family at his bedside.

In a statement the family said: “The loved ones, family and friends of the late Terry Hutchinson would like to express their sadness and sorrow at the sudden loss of a great dad, granddad, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

“The thoughts and kinds words received from across the world are testament to how loved he was by so many. We are shocked and utterly devastated. He was a man that was admired, cherished and adored and who we loved more than words can ever express.

“He lived, loved and laughed. Goodbye for now, you will always be in our hearts, we love you. Take our million teardrops, wrap them up in love, then ask the wind to carry them, to you in heaven above.”
