The recycling service is changing in Three Rivers as wheeled bins are delivered to homes across the district this month.
Throughout June, council staff will be rolling out the new black recycling bins, topped with a green lid.
Residents are asked not to use the bins until the week beginning June 30 and to continue using the boxes until then.
This wheeled bin will be emptied weekly.
The new bins will be able to accept the same recycling currently placed out in the boxes, plus foil and cardboard. Cardboard should no longer be placed in the brown bin.
The council is no longer able to accept plastic bags or soft plastic films. Residents are asked to place these items in their refuse bin.
