The wet weather did not dampen the spirits of the Rickmansworth Running Sisters beginners who were awarded their medals after completing a 5km run last week.
The group meets at Mill End Community Centre, in Church Lane, and beginners have worked up their agility over the past six weeks.
The Rickmansworth Running Sisters consist of 98 members of all ages and are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year.
Les Mead, chairman of Three Rivers District Council, attended the evening and awarded the medals to the ladies once they returned from the run last Tuesday.
The Rickmansworth Running Sisters ethos is Fun, Fitness and Friendship and was created for women over 16 years old of all fitness levels.
New members are always welcome.
