A cyclist from Bushey Heath will be part of a team of 18 taking part in the 100km London Nightrider this weekend, to raise money for charity.

Charles Barnett will be part of Kisharon’s team. Kisharon is a charity raising funds for people with special needs.

The 57-year-old said: "I’ve no idea why I’m doing this, except it’s for a good cause.

"I love a new challenge so I’m excited by the prospect of a night ride.  Sadly, no-one will be cheering me on - they’ll all be asleep."

Mr Barnett will be joined by some 4,000 cyclists who are taking part in the 2014 London Nightrider.

Participants will set off from Alexandra Palace and cycle past iconic London landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, Piccadilly Circus and the London Eye.
