Watford fashion students wowed audiences at the end of course showcase last week.

Seven designers from Level 5 of the West Herts College and University of Hertfordshire Fashion and Textiles Foundation Degree course send their collections down the catwalk on Tuesday, June 3.

Around 60 guests, including friends and family of the designers, heads and governors of the college and representatives from local businesses, lined the runway at Jongleurs Comedy Club.

Nearly 40 outfits were sent out by Tanya Biggs, Kayley Bunce, Hannah Church, Abbie Connell, Charlotte Cox, Kyra Kroutz and Cecily Skeggs.

Hannah said: "We have been together on the course for two years and this was a nice way to finish things off as well as show off the work we did.

"We organised the whole show ourselves, over recent months."

Shown was the Club to Catwalk collection - a 1980s inspired collection looking at how trends started by the young people in clubs can become catwalk trends, incorporating bright colours and interesting design features.

Then the designers' personal collections, as pictured, where each student chose a different theme of their choice, reflecting their interests and where they want to go next.

Each of the class is progressing in different ways, including internships, part-time study and going into other fashion courses at higher levels.
