Police investigating three distraction thefts at cashpoints in Watford town centre have released images of four men who they’d like to speak to in connection with the incidents.
The three thefts occurred at the HSBC bank in Watford High Street during December 2013. The elderly victims were distracted whilst at the cashpoint, during which their bank cards were stolen and money subsequently removed from their accounts.
The men are believed to be from the areas of Sutton and Newham.
PC Priya Patel is investigating the thefts and said: "Our investigations into this series of incidents continue and we have obtained CCTV images of four men who we believe are from Sutton and Newham and who may be able to provide information that is vital to the investigation. If you recognise the men, or if you recognise yourself, please contact me immediately."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Patel via the Herts police non-emergency number 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
