A man in his 50s has suffered a potential spine injury after falling off his horse while show jumping in an Aldenham equestrian centre.

Paramedics and the East Anglia Air Ambulance raced to the Patchetts Equestrian Centre, in Hillfield Lane, shortly after 10.30am on Sunday, June 15.

Charlotte Parker, from the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 10.37am for a man who had fallen from his horse.

"We sent an ambulance and the East Anglia Air Ambulance to the scene.

"The man was suffering from neck and back pain. He was immobilised on a scoop stretcher and transported to St Mary’s Hospital, London, by land ambulance for potential spinal injuries."
