People in Watford got their first proper look at the new pond this week as its make-over was completed as part of the £4.3 million town centre regeneration scheme.
The water feature has emerged from months of building works with a new bridge, steps leading down to its water, new foliage, and a new water filtration system.
The old pond must be little more than a distant memory to shoppers and residents in the town.
However here are pictures of the old pond so you can see how the new model compares to its former self.

All that remains to be seen now is if Hannibal the Heron and the ducks can be tempted to return.
