Charity workers in Abbots Langley were left shocked after their van was vandalised.
A silver transit van, which is owned by Demand had more than £1,000 worth of damage done to it, while it was parked along Mallard Road on Tuesday night.
Damage has been done to the plastic trim around the drivers door, to the rubber bumpers on both sides of the van and scratches to the bodywork of the vehicle.
Denise Gillies, regional fundraising manager at Demand said that the damage to the van, which they deliver all their equipment in, was "awful."
"We have reported it to the police, but we are not sure what we can do about it- short of putting an electric gate up.
"We are not sure if people are coming in by foot or by car. It is awful, it does say on the van it is a charity vehicle.
Hertfordshire Constabulary have confirmed that they are investigating the incident and have asked anyone who may have information to contact them on 101, citing the crime reference number: C2/14/1241.
