Villagers will be out in force later today for the Kings Langley Carnival.

Events at the carnival, which is being held on The Common throughout the day, will start at 12pm and will be headlined by a Texas Rangers Wild West show.

The Wild West show will return to the village carnival after an absence of 14 years and will be performed twice, at 1.45pm and 3.30pm.

Other events include the return of the dog show, an archery demonstration and a petting farm.

Kings Langley School Jazz Band, Kings Langley Community Choir and Kings Langley Primary School Choir will be on stage throughout the afternoon.

Other groups performing at the village carnival include: Vivo d’Arte Theatre Company, Kings Langley Brownies and Skehill Academy of Irish Dancing.

All the money raised throughout the event will be given to local charities and last year more than £5,000 was raised and split between 16 charities.

The arena will be set up for family games such as "Gladiator Pillow Wars, Penguin Fishy Fling and Mini Hoppers."
