No, you're dead right. I think that most people would recognise that as being a crash at Bushey Arches rather than a crash on Eastbury Road or as being near the Mercedes Garage. Perhaps it's just aspirational product placement on the part of the reporter? ;)

that would be a reference to the other story of BMW wing mirrors are being stolen in Bushey ...for those that aren't aware.

it's that non-reporter Charlotte Ikonen again! She obviously doesn't get out of her apartment enough to know that Bushey Arches is a local landmark and recognisable to locals from all angles.

If you're going to sit at your computer copying\pasting Police tweets, you could at least view the scene in Google street view before putting your name to it.

Keefer's quite right, It was an attempt at a humorous reference to a story reported the day before that there had been a spate of BMW wing mirror thefts in Bushey. In reality, it makes no difference to the likelihood of an accident if a BMW has wing mirrors or not, as the drivers never seem to use them anyway.

From the photo, it looks like the BMW was pushed onto the island by a car coming into the roundabout from Pinner Road.
