A Harry Potter spin-off book written by JK Rowling will be filmed  at Warner Bros's complex in Leavesden.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them - set 70 years before Harry Potter and based on JK Rowling's book of the same title - is already confirmed to hit the big screen on November 18 2016.

The book is set in the Harry Potter universe and is actually mentioned throughout the Harry Potter series as one of the Hogwarts textbooks.

Rowling previously said that while the film isn’t a prequel or a sequel to the Harry Potter films it works as an extension of Harry's world.

The announcement about the filiming location was made by the culture secretary, Sajid Javid, at a creative industries event in London this week.

Leavesden is where all eight Harry Potterfilms were shot and features a permanent tour attraction based on the saga's original sets.
