Ten cars have been vandalised in South Oxhey in the last week.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is investigating the damaged caused, which included deep scratches to the vehicles’ body work.

The vandalism occurred overnight at the following locations:

• Between Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1, a silver Nissan, a grey Vauxhall and a black Nissan were damaged on Ainsdale Road at the junction of Gosforth Lane.

• Between Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, a white Skoda and a red Ford were damaged on Ashridge Drive.

• Between Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, a grey Vauxhall was damaged on Blairhead Drive.

• Between Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, a grey Lexus was damaged on Blairhead Drive.

• Between Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, a black Audi was damaged on Culverden Road.

• Between Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, a black Volkswagen and a grey/black Renault were damaged on Blairhead Drive.

Police Constable Dan Jones said: "We have increased patrols in these areas and are making use of overt and covert officers in an effort to find the person or people responsible for causing this damage.

"I would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing anyone or anything unusual or suspicious around the stated times of the incidents. Also, I would urge anyone who sees someone loitering near parked vehicles to contact police straight away."
