An Oxhey mum who had a miracle pregnancy was inspired to cut her hair off for children with cancer by her three-month-old daughter.
Veterinary nurse Dannielle Connor, 34, didn't discover she was pregnant with daughter Zara until 17 weeks.
Up until then she had been doing chemotherapy and radiotherapy on patients - which could have been detrimental to her unborn child.

Now on maternity leave, "happy healthy" Zara inspired Dannielle's charity chop to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who have lost their hair during cancer treatments.
She said: "I feel incredibly overwhelmed and blessed that we have such a perfect little girl and can't imagine how dreadful it would be had anything been wrong. I've had long hair all my life, so wanted to make a self sacrifice for a worthy cause.
"It is quite odd having a chilly neck, but reminds me of the cause. Zara hasn't yet realised she can't pull mummy's hair anymore, but did give me a lovely smile as soon as the haircut was complete.

"Children with Leukaemia always seem to have smiley faces on TV and I wanted to help those that may feel self conscious under going treatment and losing their hair.
"I was shocked to discover cancer affects one in 500 children before the age of 14 years."
Dannielle has raised £226 for the cause and her My Donate Dannielle Connor Challenge has a page for contributions open for six months.
