Police investigating a Rickmansworth burglary where a large amount of valuable jewellery was taken have arrested a 38-year-old man in Luton.

The burglary occurred in The Drive overnight between Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1.

The offender gained access to the property, carried out a search and removed a number of items including jewellery, cash and a mobile phone.

Zahid Khan, of Thirlestone Road in Luton, was arrested on Saturday in Luton and was charged with aggravated burglary.

He is next due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Monday, July 14.
