The annual sports in connection with the D Troop of the Herts Yeoman Cavalry took place in Cassiobury Park. Present were Colonel the Earl of Clarendon, Captain Adjutant Coote, Captain Lord Capell, Regimental Sergeant Major Purrott and Sergeant Crapp.

Events included heads and posts, tilting at the ring, tent pegging and lemon cutting. Sergeant Crapp won both the lemon cutting on horseback and mounted tent pegging competitions.
