A man has been charged with threatening someone with a machete during a brawl in a South Oxhey pub.

John Corcoran, 31, of Lynton Close, Wembley, has been charged with affray following a fight in The Ox, in Bridlington Road, on January 24.

He was also charged with having a machete which he used to threaten another person "in such a way that was an immediate risk of serious physical harm".

Mr Corcoran has been released on bail and is due to appear before Central West Hertfordshire’s Magistrates’ Court on July 29.

Another man, a 47-year-old from Watford, was also cautioned in connection with the brawl.
