A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with stealing a credit card from a woman who was found dead in her office shower in London.
Catherine Marlow, 28, was found dead at the offices of market research company Research Now in Kennington, south west London, on Saturday.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that the New Zealand national had been asphyxiated.
Early this morning, Daniel Martin Kennedy, from Newburn Street, Lambeth, was charged with the theft of her NatWest Visa card on January 13.
He also faces charges in relation to having burglary equipment and will appear before Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court later today.
Mr Kennedy was arrested in connection with the murder enquiry on Wednesday.
He has been bailed to return in February pending further inquiries into the murder investigation.
The development came after police made a request for information about a missing brown leather handbag belonging to Ms Marlow.
She had been working as a financial accountant for the firm for 18 months after coming to the UK in 2004.
Her family have described her death as 'a tragedy' and said they were struggling to comprehend what had happened.
In a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police, they said: "We are still trying to come to terms with it all - there is no doubt it is a family's worst nightmare.
"The only shining light in all of this is that Catherine was doing what she loved. She had a real passion for travelling and she loved her life living and working in London."
