The Croxley Green Sports Festival will be taking place next month.

The event will be held on Sunday, August 10, between 11am and 3pm in Baldwins Lane Playing Fields.

There will be a host of free activities, displays, demonstrations and taster sessions in sports including tennis, netball, basketball, skating, golf, football and beach volleyball.

Ryan Watson, sports development officer at Three Rivers District Council, said: "Croxley Sports Festival will give local sports clubs and organisations a chance to showcase their club and the choices available to local residents.

"You don’t need to book. Just turn up on the day and come and have a go at a wide range of sports. We have something for everyone including adult only sessions as well as activities for children and young people so it is a real family occasion.

"We will also have the official opening of our brand new Parkour area together with a demonstration and coaching session led by parkour professionals."

No parking is available at the site.

For more information about the sports festival, call 01923 776611 or visit www.threeriverssport.com.

Can anyone explain why TRDC contacted CGPC with all the relevant details, requesting CGPC advertise the event, yet CGPC fail to post it on their website,

TRDC admin must wonder why they bother, three TRDCllrs on CGPC, Brading/Getkahn/Jord
an, what are they doing about it.

What are any of the six cllrs representing CG at TRDC doing, or is it heads in the sands !

I hope the day is a success, but not everyone has takes the WO and thanks WO for at least posting it.

An exciting new youth club is being launched for young people in Croxley Green this summer.

The youth project, which goes by the name 'Two25' will be open to young people aged ten to 13 years old and will be based at 225 Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green.

Ryan Watson, Sports Development Officer at Three Rivers District Council has been putting together the project. He said:

"The youth club will be open from Monday 4 August to Friday 22 August from 10am to 4pm. We have lined up a great programme of daily activities including bubble football, cricket, parkour and table tennis plus a host of non-sporty activities including arts, team games and tie-dye workshops with lots more still to be confirmed.
