Pupils at a South Oxhey primary school raised more than £400 for Peace Hospice Care.
Year 5 students at Warren Dell Primary School ran cafe, Sweet Heaven, on Thursday, July 10, selling fizzy drinks, cakes, popcorn and biscuits.
The following day, pupils did not have to come in school uniform, donating £1 for the privilege.
In total, £430.52 was raised.
One pupil, Joe Allen, said: "At the end I felt proud and happy because I know that helped people who were ill and who are dying, also that I helped to make their last days comfortable."
