A man who was charged with attempted murder after a police officer was hit by a stolen car during a chase in Chorleywood has been sent for trial.
Eugene Gunderman, 27, of Queens Close, in Old Windsor, was charged with attempted murder following the police chase through the streets of Chorleywood on Thursday, July 10.
Officers caught up with the driver and passenger in the stolen car at 1.26pm in Heronsgate Road after helicopters were used to track the vehicle from Berkhamsted.
Mr Gunderman was also charged with conspiracy to steal, attempted robbery, driving whilst disqualified, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
Damon Denham, 27, of Kingbury Drive, in Old Windsor was charged with conspiracy to steal, attempted robbery and aiding and abetting dangerous driving.
The pair entered no plea at St Albans Crown Court yesterday and were remanded in custody until their trail date, which is set for January 5.
