Police have released a photo of an industrial leaf vacuum cleaner stolen during a break-in at a Watford golf club.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said Park Golf Club in St Albans Road was raided sometime between between 4pm on Saturday, July 19 and 8am on Tuesday, July 22.

Officers said burglars forced their way into an outbuilding and took the black Parker Apv Pedestrian vacuum cleaner.

PC Sam Davison is investigating and said: "The machine stolen is very distinctive and I would ask anyone who is offered it for sale, or knows of its whereabouts, to contact me straight away.

"Likewise, I would like to hear from anyone who remembers hearing or seeing anything unusual or suspicious in the area at the stated time. However insignificant you may believe the detail may be, it could be of great assistance to the investigation."

Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact PC Davison via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/14/1563.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
