Well done for trying this out, personally I like the idea of events, would love to see a return of the Rainbow festival in some form that was a real highlight of the summer and drew in crowds of thousands not dozens

Do they still have the big events in the park? I mean, they spent £4.5m on an event space in the Parade, which is, what, 300 yards away from the park? OK, the event space in the park is another 1/2 mile from the park entrance, but still...

Pity it is going to pour down on Saturday - as dozens of people does not sound that many turned up midweek. If anyone attended - How did the sound compete with the road noise and not be so loud as to upset the neighbours?

Council figures show that it was in excess of 400 and there were many favourable comments. And with ice cream popcorn and hotdogs on sale who could ask for more.

Come on Dotty, cant you inflate the figure to the thousands like the Imagine festival? (Over 100,000?) There was no evidence for the attendance figure other than estimates by the organisers?

Having said that, I think the outdoor screenings are a great idea, and I enjoyed the film on Saturday, but come on WBC, just take a day off, you really do not need to hand out evaluation questionairres as if we have just attended a training event.
