Police have charged five men after yesterday’s dawn raids in South Oxhey and Watford.

Hertfordshire Constabulary officers stormed eleven properties simultaneously at about 6am.

Nine addresses in South Oxhey and two Watford properties were targeted as part of Operation Scorpion.

Nine were arrested yesterday and the following charged today:

•    Jason Hallidey, 44, of Prestwick Road, in South Oxhey, was charged with supply of a class A drug and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. He was released on bail. 
•    Paul Cooper, 34, of Windmill Street, Bushey Heath, was charged with supply of class A drugs and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug (class A). He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court this morning and was remanded into custody.  
•    Trent Barry, 20, of Bridlington Road, in South Oxhey, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court this morning and was remanded into custody.  
•    Bilir Devrim, 25, of Blackthorn Close, in Watford, was charged with supply of class A drugs and possession of a controlled class B drug with intent to supply. He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court this morning, pleaded guilty to supply of class A drugs and possession of class B drugs and was remanded into custody.
•    Jason Barry, 43, of Bridlington Road, in South Oxhey, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court this morning and was remanded into custody.  

A 22-year-old man from South Oxhey who was arrested on suspicion of supplying of class A drugs has been given a police caution.

Two men, aged 23 and 41, both from South Oxhey and arrested on suspicion of the supply of class A drugs, were released on police bail.

A 28-year-old woman from South Oxhey who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs has been released with no further action taken. 

Chief Inspector for Three Rivers Deirdre Dent said: "These warrants were intelligence led and executed at the homes of people who are suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs. 

"We’re working to ensure that drug related crime remains low across Three Rivers. If you have suspicions about drug related activity in your neighbourhood, please let us know so we can investigate and take action where appropriate."
