A woman was taken to hospital after firefighters had to cut her free from her car which crashed in central Watford yesterday.
The driver, believed to be in her 50s, was taken to Watford General Hospital after becoming trapped in her car.
Paramedics and firefighters were called to Whippendell Road, at the junction of Cassio Road, at about 9am yesterday following reports that a Silver Ford Focus and a green Toyota Avensis had crashed.
The woman was trapped in her car and had to be cut free by firefighters.
Police closed the road, which was blocked.
The woman was taken to the Vicarage Road hospital after suffering from neck pain.
The road was reopened at 10.30am.
