The centenary of the declaration of World War One was commemorated in Chorleywood at the weekend.
A candle lighting ceremony was held at Chorleywood War Memorial Hall on Saturday to mark the 100-year anniversary of the declaration of war.
Ann Shaw, leader of Three Rivers District Council, Tony Edwards, the chair of Chorleywood Parish Council, and Rodney Kipps, the chair of the Chorleywood branch of the British Legion, lit the candle in memory of those who fought during the conflict.
