Parish Electrical won the best Hanging Basket Competition in Bovingdon.

Vic Coe from the Middlesex Guild of Horticultural Judges selected the High Street based electrical shop for having the best hanging basket outside their shop on Thursday, July 31.

Pendley Estates in Bovingdon High Street came second and Costcutter, also based in the High Street, came third.

The baskets were paid for by Bovingdon Parish Council, Bovingdon Horticultural Society and the shopkeepers themselves.

The shopkeepers will receive their prizes at Bovingdon Horticultural Society’s autumn show on Saturday, September 6, with Parish Electrical set to claim a bottle of champagne.
