A man who collapsed in a central Watford road yesterday is in a potentially life-threatening condition in hospital.
The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Watford General Hospital yesterday afternoon after collapsing in Cassio Road.
Hertfordshire Constabulary was called to start closing part of the ring road at about 1.20pm in preparation for an air ambulance to land.
However, the man was taken to the Vicarage Road hospital by land ambulance.
Richard Dunne, East of England Ambulance Service spokesman, said: "A man in his 20s suffered a collapse. He has been taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment.
"His condition is potentially life-threatening because we are not sure what has caused [the collapse]."
