Watford Community Housing Trust is trialing a social enterprise proposal with the Coffee Stop outside their offices on Clarendon Road.

The eight week trial will mean that a Piaggio van, equipped with a coffee machine, will be serving cappuccinos, espressos, lattes and frappes daily commuters and workers of Watford’s business street.

All money made from the van will be re-invested back into the community and may lead to the Community Café that is planned within the trust offices.

Nazma Abdul-Karim, business development manager at the trust, said "The waft of fresh coffee, a warm croissant and friendly smile is a great start to anyone’s morning.

"We want our community to start every morning this way by taking advantage of our affordable coffee shop."

The trust is also offering full training to anyone interested in being a coffee barista, and is available to work for a few hours’ morning and afternoons Monday to Friday.
