Police have cordoned off parts of a road in Abbots Langley after reports a man in his 20s was assaulted in the early hours of this morning.
Officers are at Gallows Hill Lane where the assault is believed to have taken place between midnight and 2am today.
Sarah Spence, spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: “Police are investigating following reports of an assault on a man in his 20’s which is believed to have occurred in Abbots Langley in the early hours of this morning, August 9.
“The incident is believed to have occurred in the Gallows Hill Lane area between midnight and 2am.
“Officers are currently investigating the exact circumstances of what has happened but if anyone has any information which would assist they should contact the Herts police non-emergency number 101.”
